Belarus is a country that typically requires a visa before entering the country. This process can feel overwhelming, so we've compiled a list of the most common questions around the Belarus visa.

What is a Belarus visa?
A Belarus visa is a travel document that is a sticker placed in your passport. It is required before you depart to Belarus and generally is suggested to apply at least a month or two prior to your trip.
What types of Belarus visas are there?
A Belarus visa can be used for several types of travel.
Tourist visas are issued in variations of single, double and multiple entry visas and allow for a stay of 90 days to 1 year. You'll generally need to provide your passport, the Belarus visa application, photo, letter describing what you intent on doing and a travel itinerary.
Business visas are also available in varations of entries (single, double and multiple) and valid for stays of 39 days and up. You'll typically need to provide your passport, the Belarus visa application, photos and a letter from your employer introducing yourself and describing your business activities along with an invitation letter from the sponsoring company in Belarus.
Who is eligible for the 30 day visa free Belarus entry?
Dozens of countires can enter Belarus through Minsk Airport.
To enter Belarus for 30 days visa-free foreign nationals must have the following documents:
- a valid passport or another substituting document for traveling abroad;
- financial means (at least two base amounts* denominated in dollars or Belarusian rubles for each day of stay, or 50 base amounts if the period of stay is 30 days);
- *since 1 January 2020 one base amount is Br27
- medical travel insurance valid across Belarus with a minimum medical coverage of €10,000;
- Citizens of Vietnam, Haiti, Gambia, India, Lebanon, Namibia, Samoa must also have a valid multi-visa to the EU states or the Schengen Area with a stamp confirming the entry to their territory and plane tickets confirming the departure from Minsk National Airport within 30 days after the date of the entry.
